Ongoing issue with SMPButKits
Recently, players haven’t been able to join the server at all. This is following the Minecraft shutdown in October. Below are some images of the errors that appear when you try to join the server:
Take the last one with a grain of salt, as it’s not as prevalent as the other errors. Unlike most public server owners, I’m still fairly new to owning servers. I have no clue what these errors mean, nor do I know how to fix them. I have contacted both Minehut and PebbleHost (server provider) support. Firstly, let me explain how this system worked. The server itself is hosted on PebbleHost. For random players to be able to join, I connected the server to Minehut through the External Server plan and my domain provider, NameCheap. Originally, it used the address “smpbutkits.com” to connect to Minehut, however, I recently changed it to “tcp.smpbutkits.com” as directed by PebbleHost support, and as you can tell, it obviously had no effect.
This setup I had worked from Early May 2025 to Late October 2025. I have tried multiple solutions. Contacting Minehut Support, I received the response that “traffic from Minehut was reaching your External Server”, which I find hard to believe due to the fact that I tested disabling the Minehut forwarding and I was able to connect to the server directly through the old address.
If you know a solution to the issues listed above, please contact me at smpbutkits@gmail.com or “smpbutkits” on Discord.
